Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)

Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)

Since its inception in the year 2001, the ECE department has taken a great leap in providing quality technical education. At present, the department is running a 4 years Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in Electronics and Communication and 2 years Master of Technology (M.Tech) program in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Both the programs are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The present student intake in UG and PG programs are 120 and 18 respectively. The department has been accredited by ‘National Board of Accreditation (NBA)’ fourth times in the years 2008, 2014, 2020 and 2023.

The B.Tech and M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a broad degree program, structured to provide students with the smallest set of constraints consistent with a rich and comprehensive view of the profession. Students are encouraged and stimulated to explore multiple areas of theory and applications like Communication, Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, Microwave engineering, VLSI, Automation & Robotics, Drone Technology, IoT and AI/ML.

Mission

HoD's Message

Electronic and Communication Engineering department is committed to fostering excellence in academics, research, and innovation in the field of electronics and communication. Electronics plays a pivotal role in our day to day life. ECE department is at the forefront of these advancements. Our dedicated and highly educated faculty, well equipped and advanced laboratories, and cutting-edge research initiatives reflect our commitment to staying at the forefront of this dynamic field.

We provide outcome based education to our students and encourage our students to think critically, solve complex problems, and apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. We also encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and strive to instill a sense of ethics and social responsibility in our graduates.

Our research activities cover a wide range of areas i.e. Antenna design using HFSS, embedded system, signal processing, image processing using intelligent techniques, IoT, robotics, UAV, VLSI design, and beyond.

Furthermore, we have successfully forged Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with over 8 prominent electronic companies. Our dedicated faculty members and motivated students are actively engaged in undertaking internships, consultancy work and projects from these industries.

Our students actively manage a various clubs and societies, including the SEE (Society of Electronics Engineers), VLSI Club, Vision Club, and MAC Club with the objective of skill development, knowledge sharing, promoting team work and providing a platform for students to pursue their interests and passions.

I extend a warm invitation to young, aspiring individuals to join us to attain professional excellence. I invite you to become an integral part of our department.
