The flagship Institute of the group, Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET), has officially been ranked as the 4th best Engineering College in Uttar Pradesh by AKTU. MIET stands tallest among all other self-financed engineering institutions in northern India with accreditation from both NAAC (A Grade, CGPA- 3.24) and NBA ( B.Tech-Biotechnology, B.Tech - Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech - Information Technology, B.Tech - Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech - Electrical Engineering and B.Pharma).

 It not only holds the prestigious position of being one of the best & oldest institutions (established in 1997) that caters to education in the field of Engineering and Technology but also ensures that each student emerges competent enough to hold a dynamic image of his own after the completion of his or her stint at MIET. MIET is a dynamically growing Institute in Uttar Pradesh, India. The institute is managed and governed under the auspicious and noble organization, “City Educational & Social Welfare Society, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh” India.

This Welfare Society was founded by Late Sri Chandra Sen Aggarwal in 1989, he established a vocational training school (10 + 2) realizing the need for a better education facility for the young generation in this region. The society formed due to initiatives, taken by the Late Shri Chandra Sen Agarwal, a great educationist, who had spent all his life towards the cause of education. His last assignment was as Secretary of “The UP Board of High School and Intermediate”. Like-minded philanthropists of this region joined hands with him took upon social causes, and established vocational schools to train the technical manpower.

He was far-sighted and could foresee the need for young men and women to be trained for industrialized India under the shadows of Globalization of trade and established the Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology at Meerut in the year 1997. This institute, today, is a leading Institute known for placement and academic excellence and is also a preferred destination for technical education in the region.

Presently, MIET is flourishing under the leadership of Shri Vishnu Saran, a great visionary, who is carrying on the dream philanthropic project nurtured by his father, the Founder-Chairman of MIET Group Late Sri CS Agarwal. He strongly believes and follows the four golden principles for success laid by the honorable Late Smt. Indira Gandhi ji – Foresight, Hard Work, Determination and Discipline. The promoters of the society have good resources, good social status, and goodwill in the city and nearby areas.

Promoters of the Society are very well conversant with the requirements of an educational organization and their associates have expertise in the management of the Schools. The promoters are committed to quality education and academic excellence.
