Shri Puneet Agarwal is a civil engineering graduate from prestigious Institute of Technology, BHU (now known as IIT BHU). He has done PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad. He has 24 years of rich experience with multinationals, Indian corporates, PSU and consultancy firms. He also worked in diverse industries like : Power and Power Equipment, Textiles, Retail, Education and IT. He has exposure in different functions like : Sales & Marketing, Engineering Design, Operations and Corporate Finance.
When he joined MIET Group of institutions, Shri Agarwal was carrying experiences from different industries and diverse functions. He started implementing some of the best practices in the 3 educational campus of higher learning under MIET Group namely :
MIET Group has more than 60 acres of land spread across three campuses in U.P. and Uttarakhand. The three campus are delivering technical courses in affiliation to state technical universities and non-technical courses in affiliation to state universities. MIET Group has affiliations to Dr.AbdulKalam Technical University(Lucknow); Chaudhary Charan Singh University(Meerut); Uttarakhand Technical University(Dehradun) and; Kumaon University(Nainital). The institutions are approved by concerned statutory bodies like : All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), Board of Technical Studies(Lucknow), Pharmacy Council of India and National Council for Technical Education(NCTE). Currently the Group employs around 1,000 staff working with more than 6,000 students.
Under his leadership, MIET has got B++ accreditation under the latest guidelines of NAAC. Selected courses of MIET have also been accredited by NBA and others are going in for accreditation after Due Diligence and immense planning. In the academics, MIET has been ranked by reputed agencies in different independent surveys.
To augment the delivery capabilities of Faculty of MIET Group, the Faculty are being trained on latest technologies. A concept of T3 “Train the Trainer” is being followed, where selected Faculty get trained and then in turn they train other Faculty. A minimum resource pool is being created in each technology and then regular classroom trainings are organized during the semester and breaks, which is followed up with development and execution of projects on live problem statements collected from industry and society.
