Residential short term NSQF aligned training of "Retail Sales Associate" in MBA department of MIET under an arrangement with Meerut Institute of Technology, Meerut. The training programme is supported by CSR funds of THDCIL (SEWA-THDC) from 9th August 2022 to 8th November 2022.


Mission Amrit Sarovar – Jal Dharohar Sanrakshan Internship
THE INTERNSHIP WAS CONDUCTED DURING JULY AND AUG 2022, 5TH AUG 2022 WAS THE LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF REPORT. 
Hon'ble Prime Minister, as part of the commemorative celebration of the 75th anniversary of our independence, envisioned protecting traditional water bodies for ensuring water security of cities by involving youth and the community. Bearing this vision in mind, the Government of India has launched 'Mission Amrit Sarovar - Jal Dharohar Sanrakshan”.  
MoHUA has identified 300+ culturally and historically significant water bodies across the country. Under the mission, 2 water bodies were assigned to Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut by AICTE to carry out the studies about rejuvenating and preserving traditional local water bodies to ensure water security and community development. An Institute Nodal Officer (INO) along with 15 students as interns were assigned to each water body. On successful completion, each intern will get a stipend and certificate by AICTE-MoHUA.

The scope of the work was broadly outlined as follows.
a) History and spatio-temporal analyses;
b) Hydrological studies, conservation of catchment areas;
c) Preparing maps of the water body and its surroundings;
d) Taking photographs that capture the essence of the water body;
e) Reimagining the areas as a vibrant public space; and
f) Action plan for rejuvenation of the water body

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. It is popularly known as NSS. A NSS unit of 100 volunteers is function in MIET since 2017-18 under preview of CCS University Meerut. For more details about NSS https://nss.gov.in can be referred.

Our students groups PARIVARTAN  and AHIMSA  along with other student volunteers are executing the NSS activities.  In addition to regular NSS activities, one day camps and special camp following major activities is the regular feature of the unit.

Education and Grooming of Village Kids

Student volunteers of associated to this activity regularly visits Jamalpur Majra a nearby village, where they works towards education and grooming of village children through class room teaching, quizzes, games and other activities. Our student volunteers donated books, stationary and other items from their own pocket money as well as collected from other sources.

The activity is lead by students associated with Parivartan.

Blood Donation Camp

Students volunteers associated to this activity every year organize a blood donation camp in the college. Our management, faculty member, students will actively take part in the noble cause of blood donation and generously donate the blood.

The activity is lead by students associated with AHIMSA.

Old cloths Donation

Each year the old cloths are collected from faculty members, staff and students in the start of winter. These collected items are donated to a nearby orphanage.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)

It is a flagship program of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India. The Institute adopted five nearby villages under the UBA 2.0 and working closely with the village authorities and villagers for their social and economic upliftment through various welfare activities.

Our students associated with NGO named UDGAM are helping us and working actively in village Chajjupur. A door to door visits and several meeting with villages was organized by them to understand their problems. (pls attach few pics from enclosed relevant folder)

Say no to plastic/ FIT India Run

It is a joint activity organized by our students on 2nd Oct 2019 in which plogging was carried out in nearby areas of MIET. Plastic waste was collected from the road sides and sent for its proper disposal.  The activity is followed by a FIT India run. At last the message of “single use plastic free” campus was given to students.

Wheat Bucket Challenge

The activity is initiated and executed by MIET business school. In this activity MIET fraternity donated wheat from their own choice. We collected 1400 Kg wheat for donation to deprived community. The activity was highly appreciated.
