Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) is
affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU),
Lucknow
. The Institute follows the syllabus and course
structure constituted by UPTU. The University shall
conduct all end of term examinations and also award
degrees to successful candidates.

May 2000 vide Act no. 1248(2)
XVII-V-I-I-19-2000 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhaya 23
of 2000 for the "advancement and development of
technical education and for matters connected therewith
of incidental thereto."
The University shall setup
Programmes for Education, Research and Training in
Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning,
Pharmacy, Applied Arts & Crafts and such others
Programmes and areas as the Central Government may in
consultation with All India Council for Technical
Education, by notification in Gazette declare.
