Since its inception in 2001, the ECE
department has taken a great leap in providing quality
education to its students. The Course running under the
department is Accreditated by the ‘National Board of
Accreditation’ (NBA) since July, 2008. The current
intake of students in this department is 90.
The ECE Department has well established &
well equipped Laboratories to cater the needs of
Curriculum along with providing research exposure to
interested faculty & students. The department has some
of the specialised tools like Tanner, Xilinx, Matlab,
P-Spice etc. that are widely used in institutes &
industries all around the world.
The students of ECE department have good
academic record apart from extra curricular activities.
Many students are well placed in reputed companies,
research organisations & many others are perusing higher
education from the institute of repute in India &
abroad.
The ECE department has a department
library that contains several subjects & miscellaneous
books of national & international repute. CDs/DVDs of
subject books, previous years Gate solutions & Magazine
are also placed in the Library. Hard copy of magazines,
seminar reports, projects reports are placed here for
the reference of students & faculty reference.
Shri D.K. Sharma,
Prof. & Head of Electronics & Communication has obtain
B.E. (Electronics) from MNREC, Allahabad and ME
(Electronics & Communication) from University of Roorkee.
He has got more than 17 years experience in teaching &
in industry (PSU). He has been on deputation to CEERI,
Pilani, IIT, Delhi etc. in connection with the projects.
His technical depth and interest resulted in setting up
various labs of the dept. and regularly upgrading the
same to provide comprehensive knowledge to the students
as per current trends. He has supervised several
projects of industrial utility. Along with this he has
actively participated in various technical courses and
seminars. He is a Life member of ISTE New Delhi &
Fellow member of IETE, New Delhi. He is reviewer of Tata
Mc-Graw Hill books.He has rich administrative experience
to his credit.
