During the never ending figth between Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa to get hold on the Black Pearl Ship , Jack fell in the deep see. When he woke up everything was changed for him. Everything was strange....Soon he realized that he is in 21st century, the era of techonology and compactness.

He then decides to build a ship of his own to reach the transition point in now known pacific ocean to return to 1750s. But he lacks MONEY. He researched and found that IT Sector is the best to get rich quickly and Mobile Application Development has a lot scope for earning.

So he decides to setup a company by mortaging his Captain Hat and Gems. In company he will build apps and get wealthy. He wants you to build apps for his company. You are free to choose the topic of your app.



Mobicom is a competition, an accelerator for students of MIET with ideas for “Apps” who are seeking a platform to showcase their talent .

If you have an “idea for an app” and nothing more you are qualified to apply. Then it's the time to assemble all your grey cells, creativity and code so as to be the best and prove your competency.

  1. The contest is open to students in MIET.
  2. All the participants must register themselves on website.
  3. This is a team event. Maximum of 2 members are allowed per team.
  4. Students are required to submit their Mobile App Idea for consideration in the first round of the competition. Selected teams from the first round will be making app for second round.
  5. On the day of the final event, student teams will be asked to explain their idea and present it to a panel of judges. Teams will have 15 minutes to showcase their work.
  6. The winning team will be determined by :
    • Originality of the idea.
    • Practicability of the concept and its potential usage.
  7. Teams may make there apps in any using any platform.
  8. No student can be part of two different teams, but each team can support upto 3 ideas for the first round. Teams are also allowed to submit updates until the deadline.
  9. Teams can bring their own Android devices to showcase their app and its use during the presentation.

  10. Content Restrictions:
    The Submission must NOT contain:
    • Nudity, lewd or vulgar behavior.
    • Material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy.
    • Publicity or intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyright patent.
    • Trademark, trade secret infringement or other proprietary right of any party.
    • Brand names or trademarks.
    • Material that is hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous or libelous.
    • Material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
    • Material that is unlawful, in violation of, or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where the App is created.
    • Material that interferes with the functioning of any services of other parties.
    • Material not suitable for persons under 13, including graphic depictions of violence or age-inappropriate language.
    • Gambling application or sites.
    • Material that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, obscene or otherwise does not comply with the Content Restrictions, as determined by Contest Administrator in its sole disc.

    • 1st place award - INR 6000
    • 2nd place award - INR 5000
    • 3rd place award - INR 4000
    • 5 Consolation Cash Prize of INR 1000.
